This years show is based off the book Wild Things. Students performed the story with dance and acting.
High honors and congratulations to all the students of the month.
Each year the 5th graders are taught some fancy dance moves in ballroom dancing style. It is amazing to see students who you wouldn't think would ever dance actually look as if they really enjoy it. Girls and the boys look like fine young gentlemen and ladies dancing to the tango and merengue.
Parents were invited to come down to the Surfside School and view their childrens' amazing work. Fouth grade showcased their original Legends and put on a performance. Second grade showed off their Charolette's Web work. Fifth grade had gorgeous solar systems on display. The younger students presented their work for the parents. The school was packed with parents and celebrations.
The Surfside School had several dance and music visitors perform for us over the last few weeks. Students were able to see different types of dancing and even join in on stage.
There wasn't an empty seat in the house during the students' fine performance showing off their amazing dance skills.
Thursday night's health fair as well as student led confrences was a huge success. Before or after students and parents met with their teachers, they enjoyed activities in the yard. Food was served, cotton candy, and fruit infused water. Students visited booths with manicure stations, face painting, and coloring. Parents, students and their siblings had a blast.

Today was the official start of the season with the Surfisde first basketball game. While our players did not win, everyone had a great time watching both teams give it their all. Photography by Miroslav from Ms. Smith's 5th grade class, who is a member of the Photography Talent Academy.
Friday before spring break students donned their favorite superhero costumes. The halls were filled with capes of excellence.
